What was the challenge?
The South Holland sober tone was immediately set in the conversation with Martinus, Operational Coordinator of DT Hydraulics: “Yes, you know, quality management is not our hobby. We just have to sell hydraulic systems, so we want to focus on our customers.”
Working with a digital QMS is mainly motivated because DT Hydraulics' customers demand a demonstrable level of quality. Martinus became mister ISO2HANDLE after the advisory party that originally managed the system quit.
The software was not actively used by DT Hydraulics at that time. In less than six months, Martinus rebuilt the system from scratch and prepared it for a first ISO9001 audit. The audit went perfectly and the comments from the audit are now being incorporated into the system so that DT Hydraulics will soon be ready for certification.
DT Hydraulics meets that level with its ISO9001 and VCA+ certification. During the conversation, it now appears that a fairly complete digital system has been built up, which has already well supported the first ISO9001 audit.
DT Hydraulics was founded in 2014 by Dik Terlouw. He couldn't find its way around the limitations of the larger organization where he worked and therefore started his own business again. The company has been around for more than 10 years now and has grown into a close-knit club of engineers, who do assignments in heavier hydraulics, in particular, at home and abroad.
