What starts as a donation rarely ends up as waste. De Kringloper gives reusable items a second life and recycles what can no longer be reused into new raw materials.
An organization with a social mission, multiple locations, and a diverse group of employees and volunteers. We spoke with Judith Luttge, Roel Luykx, Jaimie Franken, and Martin Baselier about how ISO2HANDLE changed their daily work.
Judith Luttge works as a project manager at De Kringloper and led the implementation of ISO2HANDLE. She recognized a problem that affects many organizations.
Processes and work instructions were scattered throughout the organization.
"A lot was printed out, which meant people were working with outdated documents. If something changed, we had very little control over it."
The solution was clear: one central place for all information, easy to maintain and accessible to everyone.
"We really wanted a central place where we could find our processes, handbook, registrations, and reports, and which could also be kept up to date easily. For that reason, we started looking for a management system that could do that. And ISO2HANDLE became that system." Says Judith.
Roel Luykx is a QESH officer at De Kringloper. He sees the impact in practice every day. Forms are being digitized, reports are registered centrally, and employees automatically receive feedback on the status of their registrations.
"Employees can see exactly where they stand, what the status of their report is, and which responsibility their registration falls under. The system forms the basis for feedback to the employee."
In the past, paper registrations would regularly disappear into a drawer. That risk no longer exists, Roel explains.
Once a registration is entered, it is immediately visible in the dashboard. With the right KPIs always at your fingertips.
Jaimie Franken works as an intake clerk and processes chemical waste daily that must be accurately categorized.
"We used to have to write everything down on lists, which took a lot of time. Now it's just tap, tap, tap and it's done," says Jaimie.
Time is precious. Especially in an organization like De Kringloper, where schedules are often packed. According to Jaimie, the real gains are in the small things.
"Every ten minutes you save is just ten minutes, and you can get a lot done in that time."
Martin Baselier is an IT specialist at De Kringloper and is responsible for configuring the platform. What stands out to him is the freedom the system offers.
"It's great that it's so flexible, allowing you to set it up exactly how you want it."
For an organization like De Kringloper, that flexibility is no minor detail. With multiple locations, processes, and a diverse group of employees, a quality management system must truly fit the daily practice, not the other way around.
Judith reflects on the tangible results of the partnership with ISO2HANDLE. Processes have been simplified, documents are centralized, and workplace inspections are now conducted digitally.
But perhaps most importantly, the platform hasn't just become a tool for the quality or IT department. It belongs to the entire organization.
