What is VCA Petrochemistry?

VCA stands for VGM Checklist Contractors, where the letters “VGM” are short for Safety, Health and Environment. The checklist is an extensive questionnaire that is used as a system for controlling working conditions. VCA distinguishes itself into three levels of certification, depending on the working environment and/or hierarchical relationship.

VCA-P focuses on the direct control of VGM while carrying out work in the workplace. This certification level is actually intended for contractors who take on work in-house and carry it out as such. VCA-P has thirty-three (33) must questions that must be answered positively. Questions will often have to be answered on the basis of procedural evidence. A question is only rated positively if all the minimum requirements and the objective associated with that question have been met.
