QR codes for ease of registration

An important aspect of quality management is registration. Registering provides information that you use to control and improve quality in your company. In quality management, everything is registered. From complaint to customer satisfaction and from point of improvement to safety inspection. Some registrations relate to locations or objects. Examples include building inspections, workplace inspections, device and machine inspections. In ISO2HANDLE, you can easily generate location- and object-related QR codes. They make registrations extremely easy. Simply scan the QR code with your smartphone and then carry out your inspection or inspection in the same way.

How does this work digitally?

You can scan a QR code with the camera on your smartphone or tablet. That code contains information (such as a link or text) that you are sent to when you scan it. For example, a QR code can also include a link to a specific registration form within your ISO2HANDLE platform.

You can link a specific QR code to each individual form that you use within ISO2HANDLE. When you scan that QR code with your smartphone or tablet, the form you need to register for that location or object automatically opens.

How does it work practically?

The important question is how to get that QR code to your location or object. That is the missing link that, of course, you do need. The practical answer is: just stick it on. In ISO2HANDLE, you can create a QR code per form. But you can also print that QR code with an Altec printer. Altec is the forerunner in industrial identification. With a rich spectrum of printers, they offer the possibility to print all kinds of labels and stickers. This way, you can easily print your QR codes on labels and stickers that are resistant to the effects of various external influences and influences.

Application examples

How practical and smart you can use QR codes has often been proven in our practice. What do you think of the following projects?

Rentability scan

A rental company of recreational properties (holiday homes, glamping tents, etc.) marks each location with a QR code, to which an inspection form in ISO2HANDLE is linked. After each rental, an employee inspects the object and all matters that affect rentability. Rental showstoppers, for example, include a non-working microwave, television or refrigerator. A defective microwave is therefore discovered immediately after the rental and reported via an inspection. The housekeeping service automatically receives a notification from ISO2HANDLE and provides a replacement microwave within a few hours, after which the object can be rented again. Because occupancy rates are essential for rental companies, inspection and rapid follow-up are therefore crucial for success.

Inspection of warehouse racks

A warehouse is full of racks that reach up to 15 meters high. These racks are taxed because all kinds of goods are placed in them. Incidentally, a forklift hits a rack when placing goods. This can have an effect on the strength of the statement. That is why all statements are measured to the millimeter every month to see if they are still completely in order. A QR code is attached to each rack, which is scanned during inspection. The results of the measurements are entered into ISO2HANDLE via a tablet or smartphone. If the measurements differ from previous measurements or if measurements exceed a certain range, the system signals this. A notification is then sent from ISO2HANDLE to the technical service, who will quickly fix the relevant statement again.

Inspection of work equipment

A construction company works with a large amount of different work equipment. Think of lifting and hoisting equipment, concrete mixers and other tools, some of which are electric. The VCA states that these devices must be inspected at least once a year. The inspection takes place by a certified body. Each work equipment is provided with a QR code, which is printed on a weatherproof sticker with an Altec printer. The stickers on the concrete mixers and vibrators are also resistant to the aggressive effects of cement. By scanning the QR code, the inspection authority gets direct access to the inspection form. After each inspection, the form is submitted and the result is immediately visible in ISO2HANDLE. Rejected devices can seriously mess up the planning of construction projects. That is why it is important to have up-to-date information about the employability of work equipment at all times.

In addition to registrations and inspections, QR codes in ISO2HANDLE are also often used to link user manuals and safety checklists to specific machines or devices. This is especially useful when there are new employees who are going to work with these machines and devices for the first time. By scanning the QR code, those employees read the relevant user manual or safety instructions directly on their smartphones.
